Top Best-Selling Cars

Nissan Qashqai

Another vehicle that checks all the appropriate criteria for a top-10 sale is the Nissan Qashqai. Reputable brand, useful, affordable, roomy, reasonably priced, and equipped with the newest technology. It’s only logical. Although not our preferred SUV to drive, no one purchases one because of how well it can turn. The Qashqai won the competition to be named the UK’s best-selling vehicle of 2022, so the proof is in the pudding. Consequently, this is the most thrilling race a Qashqai is likely to compete in.

Vauxhall Corsa

It should not come as a surprise that the Corsa supermini is performing so well in these parts given how much British drivers trust the Vauxhall brand. What’s more surprising is how well the UK has embraced it; the Corsa held the top rank on this list. It wasn’t moved until November… By no means is it our favourite vehicle in its class, but it stands out from the crowd in terms of design, performance, and price. A Corsa Electric is also available. Furthermore, you cannot quarrel with customers.

Tesla Model Y

The Tesla Model Y, which fluctuated in and out of the top 10 previous year, was the best-selling electric vehicle in the UK (battery-electric vehicles made up 16.6% of the total market). A large shipment of units in December pushed it all the way up into third position. And that should come as no surprise considering the speed, 300+ miles of range, and great worldwide charging infrastructure of Tesla. There is enough there to overlook the awkward design.

Ford Puma

The Ford logo is always towards the top of this ranking, but right now the Puma crossover is driving the brand’s sales in the UK. It actually makes sense because it is built on the Fiesta, which means that handling, the engine lineup, interior quality, and overall performance are all excellent.

Mini

It’s comforting to know that a British legend is still as stoic as ever in these trying times. The Mini hatchback, which is owned by BMW, has a great lineup of engines and offers a lot of customization, which keeps it towards the top of our collective list of alternatives.

Kia Sportage

According to data from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), the Kia Sportage was the best-selling vehicle in the UK in January. The Sportage is nicely equipped and has a big cabin, like the majority of Kias nowadays. It turns out that we simply require basic features from our autos. It should come as no surprise that fish and chips is the national dish.

Hyundai Tucson

A few years ago, it would have been difficult to envision a vehicle as dull as the Hyundai Tucson (pronounced two-son, not tuck-son). However, the South Korean business has recently seen somewhat of a comeback, taking up TG’s prized Manufacturer of the Year award in 2018 and producing instant favourites like the i30N. The most recent Tucson is really nice but not a track toy. And folks have taken notice.
